Edit 2! I'm stirring up pineapple rum punch (because Vegas = pools = summery tropical drinks....hell, let's be honest, I have lots of rum in my cupboard and not much of anything else...LCBO strike blergh). Grilling up "jewel kebabs" --halloumi or chicken (whatever Kate and Ian aren't making) with jewel-coloured vegs.
We're doing Maritini Rosso & tonitc with orange because -- uh -- Bond? Martinis? (Yeah, it's because we have a ton of Martini Rosso on hand and LCBO strike. Anyway, it's a tasty drink!) Food tbd....
We are bringing Diamonds in the Sky cocktails, and a ginger marmalade-glazed almond cake (which has nothing to do with Vegas but it does go with the ginger component of our cocktail).
For the history books...Kate and Ian grilled up chicken and pineapple skewers, veggie skewers, and made a gin-watermelon cocktail. The FerGormans brought smoked salmon canapes and made Black Velvets (Guinness + sparkling wine).
