Change of plans, I'm going to attempt to make steamed white sugar cake (kinda like Chinese jello). If that fails, I'll make morning glory vegetable with fermented bean curd.
Edit: White sugar cake done and a bit wonky. So I'm bringing a lemon sour cream pound cake!
TBC but I'll likely be making a batch of Chinese fried ribs featuring one of my favourite ingredients...fermented bean curd.
