Our 33rd spectacular 'Tacular was a celebration of booze, hosted by Jeremy and Mei! What'd we cook up?
Apps and mains:
- Popcorn drizzled with a Jack Daniels caramel (JereMei)
- Shrimp with tequila, lime, and cilantro on baguette slices (JereMei)
- Baby brussels sprouts with brandy, cream, and bacon (JereMei)
- Seared scallops with a creamy lemon and vodka sauce (FerGormans)
- Spicy rum-glazed chicken wings (Sandra)
- Bourbon and maple syrup mashed sweet potatoes (JereMei's 4th dish!)
- Sake-glazed chicken meat balls (Ayako)
- Penne a la vodka with mushrooms (McMompsons)
- Almond Amaretto carrots (Kate and Ian)
- Caramel pork ribs with bourbon (Marco and Laura)
Desserts (consumed in the dark thanks to Earth Hour):
- Mini carrot cakes with amaretto and mascarpone frosting (Kate and Ian)
- Sticky toffee date cake with bourbon, served with shipped cream (Sara and Dan)
A boozy good time was had by all (except for James...we missed you!)!
